Last week was mostly spent removing and sorting through Sylph's gear that I had left in the boat shed loft at the RAN Sailing Association before re-stowing it on board Sylph. Once again thank you to my club for allowing me to store Sylph's gear in the boat shed for the duration of the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race and beyond.

In the process of sorting out all the gear, I have been amazed at just how much stuff I have accumulated over my years of cruising. I have of course tried to be strict on what gets to return on board but for the sort of sailing I do it is hard to part with stuff that you never know might come in handy in some remote location somewhere. So I am afraid Sylph is going to be at least half a tonne heavier when we leave Sydney.
