A mere overnight run of sixty miles has been thwarted by light winds, then strong contrary winds and overfalls, now light winds and a foul current. We have just over ten miles to go to Chabana but it is now too late to get in before sunset and I have no intention of trying to enter such a small unknown harbour in the dark, so we will spend the night at sea. Sunrise is at 7.15, that gives us over twelve hours to get to the entrance. The winds are forecast to remain light from the east. Sylph might not be the fastest thing to windward but I reckon she should just about be able to make it.
All is well.
