At anchor Tangoio Bay
Wind: NW F5 Sea: slight Swell: negligible
Weather: sunny, warm

While sitting at anchor under the brown bluffs of Tangoio Bay, we have been monitoring the weather forecasts looking for the next opportunity to continue south. It looked like a suitable pattern was developing for departing this morning and in order to be in a position to take advantage of it, yesterday morning we motor-sailed back alongside the Napier Sailing Club to replenish supplies, in particular to top up fuel. However, last night, after reviewing the latest updated forecast, and after considerable discussion among the crew, we decided to wait. It was a difficult decision as unfortunately it looks like there will not be another favourable weather pattern for at least a week. Instead we will just have to make the most of Hawkes Bay. To that end, this morning while there was a lull in the gusty north-westerly wind, we cast off our berthing lines and motored back to anchor at Tangoio Bay.

All is well.
