The last two days have been unexpectedly busy. Not that I have got a lot done on the boat - a bit more painting and the windvane rudder is ready to reship, just needs a couple of coats of antifouling. What has kept me busy has been some social engagements. Last night I was invited to Jeremy’s and Venessa’s place on the island opposite the yacht club for dinner - a very nice night. A boat had been organized to collect me at midnight but it never showed and in the end Jeremy returned me in his inflatable, so didn’t get back to Sylph until 2 a.m. Then today Alvaro had invited me to visit him this afternoon. What I didn’t realize was that it was the birthday of his two year old twin daughters, Kenna and Leera. We ended up at his parents place with a whole bunch of very young chicos and chicas and their parents. I would have been the oldest one there, including Alvaro’s parents, still the children didn’t mind and my greying beard seemed to provide the twins with a novel toy to tug upon. It is perhaps fortunate that I forgot to take my camera.

All is well.
