Regrettably, last week's report that the skipper had shaken his cough was premature. It stubbornly lingers, so I remain on light duties.

Tasks completed this week include taking some photos of the masthead fitting and sending them off to Noakes Rigging for assessment, changing the gear box oil, and replacing the alternator drive belt (it is wearing out prematurely due to the load the new LiFePo battery places on the alternator - I have a longer term solution in mind but that is a job for the new year).

And crew maintenance is also being attended to with annual medicals in progress.

All is well.
