We had a bit of a rough night, punching into the headwind. RC was not at all impressed, he wasn't even interested in his food last night. Fortunately conditions have improved markedly since then. We had several hours of calm this morning which left us rolling around in the swell and residual slop. So we drifted around under bare poles while a small white fishing boat motored around us about a mile away. Just after midday the clouds have lifted, the sun is shining and the wind has filled in from the north east. RC and I both agree this is much, much better.

Jervis Bay is now only about ten miles away. My plan is to anchor off Murrays Beach in the southern end of the bay tonight. A strong southerly buster is due to hit us sometime overnight so I want to be snug and secure at anchor before it arrives.

All is well
