A minor milestone towards entering the Sydney to Hobart yacht race was realised today with the preliminary safety audit completed at the CYCA. There are a lot of things that need to be done before Sylph will pass the audit but most of the items that were raised by the audit are relatively minor and should be easily fixed. There is only one major task that needs doing which is to modify the pushpit and cockpit rail with an extra lifeline and the addition of two more stanchions which I have already purchased.

With no major obstacles arising from the safety audit, the next major task I will turn my attention to is obtaining the stability certificate.

All is well.
