Five of us hire a car and driver to take us to the Kilimutu Lakes which are adjacent crater lakes of three different colours. Quite stunning but it is an early start - we are on the beach at 0400 for a three and a half hour drive. At least on Flores Island the roads have a surface. All in all a lovely day out and we explore some of the agricultural hinterland on the way back.
