Another 133 miles in 24 hours falls short of what we would like to be achieving and we need to go a bit faster to get to Cape Verde’s before the wind dies!
At midnight we took the cruising chute down as the wind had increased and it felt like the right thing to do. We chose to pole out Genoa and when the moon came up a few hours later poled put the staysail on the other side. This morning we have added the mizzen but are still only doing about 5.5-6 knots! Wind is forecast to increase slightly so 🤞. We really don’t want to fuel sails and bring in to turn head to wind to put main up!
