We had a bit of a disturbed night with wind from the south gusting to 36 knots before it shifted to the west then north, it was a good test for our new anchor which didn’t have any problems.
Today was chilly with the north wind we had to wrap up well, we sailed where we could and motorsail when the wind was dead behind us. Oriental was as we expected a little busy and there was little room to anchor, hence we are somewhat in the middle of the channel, hopefully no one will complain! We are here to get our Eprib batteries replaces as they have expired and there is a place here that will do it while we wait rather than send it off to be done, though its expensive its cheaper than a new Epirb!!!
While we are here we also hope to see Ann and Neville the OCC port officers we met on our way north in June, then its off to Beaufort.
