39:47.671N 018:21.654 Todays sails is over 70 miles so we had a early start and left just before 6 in the morning, after a slow start we were soon flying along with the wind forward of the beam doing 7.5 to 8 knots for a lot of the trip even after we reefed the main and genoa to make it a bit more comfortable. We had such a great sail we were in Santa Maria Di Lueca by 5 pm moored along side the concrete dock that is available for yachts in transit to moor to for free for the night. We have been to Santa Maria before in 2005 when we stayed a few days and ended up on the inside of a 3 deep raft of boats on the concrete dock 😱 - luckily one was a boat we had met before, we were very glad that it wasn’t as busy this time round, we only went ashore to find the bins and chat to a couple of other boats but soon took refuge in the boat to get away from the many mosquitoes that were attacking us on the shore!
