Well, not quite. After a quarter of a year cruising this fascinating country it's time to head for Malaysia. The plan is to haul anchor at first light in about an hour and head for a small group of offshore islands just south of Singapore. That's a trip of about 30nm which even if there is no wind should be done in daylight. Then we'll find somewhere to anchor for the night and tomorrow cross the shipping lanes, skirt around Singaporean territorial waters and into Denga Bay (not the marina itself). That's just over 30nm and again we should do it in daylight. I say we, that's Trouters and Calypso, traveling together again. I brought an additional 40 litres of fuel yesterday anticipating having to motor the entire way and so have 80 litres in the tank.

The only sour note on leaving Indonesia concerns the price of the fuel here. We were quoted 11,330 Rupiah a litre and when it was delivered we were told the price had gone up to 13,500 Rupiah a litre. The pump price has not gone up so this is a blatant rip-off. Such a shame and the entire fleet was incensed but then we are a captive audience. Most of us needed to top up for the trip to Malaysia and of course this was well understood.

If I have a 3G signal tonight I'll post a position report but if not I'll 'see' you all in Malaysia in a few says.
