I lost track of the days and thought it was Friday, so amongst other things I went into Town to go to the bank...DOH!!!!!!!! I also tried to source a new battery for my aged pc HP lapdancer, no such luck, nobody, but nobody stocks pc batteries. The Hewlett Packard agent did say that they could source a new one for me from either Hong Kong or Oz, but the cost would be in the region of F$450!!!!! I think a new laptop can be had for around F$650, so a long pause for thought. The reason I wanted a new battery, apart from the obvious? Simple, this pc will be used as the main navigational computer on the boat, with the Open CPN system and I didn't want to have to run an inverter the whole time (speaking of invertors, Dick Smith stock them, but I was on too much of a 'battery mission' to price them properly).
On to more important matters, I have a new pair of sandals

Smart, eh?  Very Roman Centurion. Now these cost F$45 so I'll be monitoring the cost very closely. The rum and coke were optional extras.

What can I say apart from a strange choice of name?
More importantly, work continues

so things are moving right along. As I mentioned, John the GRP was hoping to be finished by the end of this month and I really think that it was only the lack of material that prevented him from doing so. That's the reason that doom-brain here wanted to go the bank today, to draw out a further F$5K for him. Oh well, he'll just have to wait until wonder.
Happy Halloween to one and all, particularly my fellow author Larry, who introduced me to that bloody addictive Wild Birds game. Thank you, I';ve now wasted untold hours playing the bloody game at ungodly hours of the morning (usually about 0330) when iIcan't sleep.
Right, well that's it for now. I really am going to do some editing and proof reading.
