101nm noon to noon run, although you could hardly call that running! Sailed (slowly) all night but around 0700 this morning we had to motor, by 0900 both engines on, gennaker rolled away and doing 4/5 kts. Bugger! Boats about 60 miles ahead were getting a decent SE wind, we're eagerly awaiting the same, in the meantime plenty of hot water for showers and full water tanks as the water maker 'did its thing' for a couple of hours and topped up the tank.
First attempt (this trip) at bread turned out to be a bit more like crispbread than anything else (yes, I did remember to add yeast!) and the chocolate cookies turned out OK, but as I used cocoa for the chocolate I needed to add a touch more sugar....I tend to think of the result as healthier, but even so I have to admit that perhaps a touch more sugar would not have gone amiss!
Shaping up to be a slow old trip, but then again we're not in any particular hurry. Todays good news was that I found the copy of 'The Yellow Admiral' that I though I must have lent out, so my O'Brien collection is complete. Happiness.
All well on board.
