Bear preparing to snorkel off South Fouquet. We paddled over the inner reef and out over the outer. At times we had a couple of feet between the surface and the hard coral, the drop-off to twenty feet or so. Loads of fish, sadly no soft coral so no Nemo’s but so many other, different varieties of fish. A strange brain coral that looked like crinkled beige paper and so many different kinds of hard coral.  All on its own out in the sand away from the reef, we saw a healthy giant clam (about two feet across) – open and feeding, never seen one not concreted in rock before. Mmmm. Here is just a bit of what we found......
