This morning Al went up the mast to put the new lazy jack rope on. Then it was an early lunch and up to the Marian Office for one fifteen for our three quarters of an hour transfer to a Safari Adventure.

Our first experience – a ride on an oxen and cart.

A very comfortable ride past a ‘one careful owner’ and by a house in the river with water buffalo cooling below.

We then all sat on a friendly water buffalo and pretended he was a motorbike.

A Thai cookery lesson.

Walking past a water feature to a truck that took us to a river.

Note to self: never kayak with someone with a camera in their hand unless you want to go around in circles quite a lot........ but we did see several kingfishers and some monkeys in the mangroves.

Back in the truck and to base where things were slack.

We saw how rubber was processed and followed our guide past a water feature.

Thai Boxing and Al was put through his paces.

A monkey show I could personally have done without. Johnny on his trike was amusing though.

The highlight of the day was of course the elephant ride, seen here cooling off.

Next, a baby elephant show, this one throwing a dart at balloons..........

.......but it did give us a splendid picture with Alex and a cuddly baby.

The best laugh was last. The boys plunging their feet in with very, very busy fish.

The fish had a ball exploring Bear’s fur and tickling my feet.

After the initial shock, giggling and tickling, the boys settled to watching in fascination.

Then we shared supper with a couple from the Philippines, back to the marina tired but thrilled.

ALL IN ALL A PACKED, BUSY AND FANTASTIC DAY
                     LOTS OF UNIQUE EXPERIENCES
