Think Bahamas – what does it conjure up? Palatial mansions, turquoise blue sea and white sands; money and expense? Well, it does most of that but Palatial mansions?

First stop in the Exuma Islands, southern Bahamas was Glass Cay.   The crew ventured ashore in search of the advertised beach bar to find the place pretty much closed.  The bar had seen better days:

Perhaps they were all in the masonic lodge? (for that is what it is – Ed) :

Or perhaps they were all impounded in the town police station (resplendent with its Dixon of Dock Green light):

To be fair, there was a beach club but it was open only on Friday and we were there Thursday.  Provisioning was available but 30 mins away on foot.    At least there was a phone signal!
