Quick update Monday 20 October 2014

Tashi Delek
Mike & Carol Kefford

All is well and we are working hard to get Tashi Delek ready to be hauled out on Friday.  At 7am.

Headsail and staysails are washed, dried, taken down and folded.  Main will hopefully come down tomorrow but not until Carol has been up the mast with it up to put some pencil marks on the areas we need re-enforcing.  Any sail related activity has to start by 6am otherwise there is no time to complete the job before the wind gets up a bit too much to be comfortable with the boat wanting to sail off the pontoon at a rate of knots.

We move into a local Motel tomorrow which means that we can start to bring everything in from the outside of the boat and stow it in the cabins.  The motel is in something of a one horse town and seems to be part bar, part betting shop, part slot machines.  Everyone is very nice though and hopefully the bedrooms will be civilised even if the nylon counterpanes are not to our particular taste.  That is it for options though unless we want to be a lot further away.

I have just uploaded a lot of blogs with pictures to illustrate the last couple of months.  They are in date order so slotted in between the quick updates we have done.

Tulu arrive tomorrow and hopefully Moana Roa the next day so it will be great to see them.

The Marina is great with an excellent chippy!  The chips are the best we have had that we can think of, crispy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside.  The perfect accompaniment to the amazing array of seafood that we have bought from the seafood wholesalers next door.

All for now, back to cleaning something.
