Mojo is all sorted with new cutlass bearings, re-engineered shaft joints and extra coppercoat on liftout in Arrecife, all courtesy of Wes and his gang here in Lanzarote.
I usually set off around the time of the ARC departure - 3rd Sunday in November- but unless the conditions are fabulous (and they often aren’t) I’d like to stop off at Mogan, cutesy port with dramatic cliff backdrop on the SW corner of Gran Canaria.
At the far end of this next downwind Transat I’m pondering the island of Marie Galante, just south of Guadeloupe. Normally too far upwind for most N-S Carib cruising so I’ve not met anyone who has visited.
