La Coruna

Die Segelyacht Suffisant kam am 20. Juli 2020 in die Marina Coruna. Obwohl ich mein Schiff bereits im 2018 der Marina Seca anvertraute, ihnen eine Liste übergab, welche Dinge an Bord zu überprüfen, welche zu warten oder was erneuert werden sollte, hat die Marina Seca es nicht fertig gebracht, die Segelyacht "segelfertig" an seinen angestammten Platz zu stellen.

Beim Wassereinfüllen hörte ich einen Alarm, bin darauf hin ins Boot und musste feststellen, dass das ganze einlaufende Wasser anstelle in den Tank, ins Schiff gelaufen ist. Es kostete mich eine Bohrmaschine AEG mit Ladegerät und 2 Akkus sowie stundenlanges umräumen, reinigen. Ursache hiefür war, dass die Marina Seca die beiden Schläuche beim Tankeinfüllstutzen nicht befestigte. 

Die Portlights (Fenster) wurden nicht alle ersetzt, wie ursprünglich besprochen. So vergass die Marina Seca die beiden äusseren Portlights in den Achterkabinen zu ersetzen. Zum Teil haben sie auch die neuen Portlights so eingesetzt, dass es nur mit enormer Kraftaufwendung zu schliessen ist. Bei genauerer Überprüfung habe ich gesehen, dass diese zum Teil 1 mm zu schräg eingebaut wurden. 

Beim Volvo Penta Service wurde der Oelfilter nicht richtig montiert, so dass Oel in die Bilge ausgelaufen ist. Ebenfalls vergassen sie den Luftfilter zu montieren.

Der Buganker wurde einfach krumm montiert, dies konnten wir dann beheben.

Alle Seeventile und Borddurchlässe sollten erneuert werden, dies ist auch geschehen, jedoch haben sie die korridierten Verbindungsstücke beim Wassertank nicht gewechselt.

Die Schmutzfilter unterhalb des Waschbeckens wurden nicht ausgetauscht.

Das Schiff war keinenfalls segelbereit. Die Reffleinen wurden nicht korrekt eingezogen. Alles musste nochmals so überprüft werden, dass wir lossegeln konnten. Theoretisch hätte ich nochmals 2 Wochen länger in A Coruna bleiben können, nur um alle Sachen in Ordnung zu bringen, die durch die Marina Seca verlauert wurden. Das Problem war, dass ich Crew hatte, die ankamen und diese auch nicht wochenlangen bleiben konnten.

Für mich sehr enttäuschend und ich kann an dieser Stelle die Marina Seca nur empfehlen, wenn der Bootseigner bei den beauftragten Arbeiten minutiös daneben steht. Das Problem ist, dass die Arbeiter mit etwas beginnen, dann wieder abgezogen werden um an einem anderen Schiff was zu machen und dann soviel Zeit dazwischen lassen, dass sie nicht mehr wissen, was sie noch zu erledigen haben, oder wo sie an der Arbeit stecken geblieben sind.

Eine Kontrolle durch die Marina Seca fand nicht statt!

La Coruna

The sailing yacht Suffisant arrived in the Marina Coruna on July 20, 2020. Although I gave my ship to Marina Seca in 2018, giving them a list of things to check on board, what to maintain or what to renew, Marina Seca did not manage to put the sailing yacht "ready to sail" in its place of destination.

When I filled up the water, I heard an alarm and went into the boat and found that all the incoming water had gone into the boat instead of the tank. It cost me an AEG drilling machine with charger and 2 batteries and hours of cleaning. The reason for this was that Marina Seca did not attach the two hoses to the tank filler neck. 

The portlights (windows) were not all replaced as originally discussed. Marina Seca forgot to replace the two outer portlights in the aft cabins. In some cases they also installed the new portlights in such a way that it can only be closed with enormous force. On closer inspection I saw that some of them were installed 1 mm too diagonal. 

At the Volvo Penta Service the oil filter was not mounted correctly, so that oil leaked into the bilge. They also forgot to mount the air filter.

The bow anchor was simply mounted in an wrong angle, which we could fix.

All the sea valves and throughhulls should be replaced, this was done, but they did not change the corroded connectors at the water tanks.

I gave also the order to change the dirty filters under the wash basin, but they didn't. 

The ship was not ready to sail. The reefing lines were not drawn in correctly. And the new rigg with the shrouds was fixed to loose. Everything had to be checked again so that we could sail away. Theoretically I could have stayed another 2 weeks longer in A Coruna, just to fix all the things that were lurking through Marina Seca. The problem was that I had crew that arrived and that they could not wait for weeks.

It was very disappointing for me and I can only recommend Marina Seca at this point when the owner of the boat is standing by minutely when the work has been ordered. The problem is that the workers start with something, then they are moved away to do something on another boat and then leave so much time in between that they don't know what they have to do or where they got stuck with the work.

There was no control by Marina Seca!
