You'll note that we are making a huge jump from Miami to the Galapagos Islands with this posting but I promise to fill in the gap at some future point in time.  I just wanted to get the blog going so that we can be more current with our messages to family and friends.  We have been here since March 8th and we lucky to have Amy visit us from March 10th to the 16th.  The Galapagos Islands are amazing and we've had a fantastic time.  It's like living in Jurassic Park.  We've visited the Darwin Center here in Santa Cruz and been out in the "highlands" where you see giant tortoises in their natural surroundings.  We've explored underground lava tunnels and we've taken an excursion aboard a small cruise ship with just ten passengers and swam with sea lions and fur seals, hammerhead sharks, manta rays, golden rays, sting rays, thousands of beautiful fish and cute little PENGUINS!  (Man, they are fast!!!)  We've seen frigate birds, albatross, red footed boobies, blue footed boobies, Sally LIghtfoot crabs and all sorts of marine iguanas and much much more... I've attached a three photos.  Amy with a giant tortoise, a male frigate bird (the red pouch attracts females) and some Blue-footed Boobies.
