“Moonbeam” was hauled at Power Boats on 14th May and we got stuck in to laying up “Moonbeam” for a hot and humid summer.

On the Tuesday evening we had some friends over for a drink to celebrate “Moonbeam’s” 40th birthday- since she was launched in Holland in 1972- she has covered plenty of miles including 4 Atlantic crossings.

We carried on stowing and cleaning and left “Moonbeam” on Thursday, shrink wrapped for the summer.

British Airways got back into our good books by upgrading us to “Club World” which was a most enjoyable surprise although slightly ‘undone’ by a 3 hour security delay while we touched down in St.Lucia and of course it meant we missed the connecting flight at Gatwick which forced a 5 ½ hour wait!

We are spending time in Cheshire and head back to Argyll in late June- no doubt summer will be over by then.

That’s it for now, the blog and travels will resume in November.
