Yesterday was our first sail in calm seas and good wind since we started this journey. We had roast chicken dinner on deck and enjoyed the motion. Over night the waves became larger and we are back to balancing acts down below.
Unfortunately we have no wind instruments, so it is harder to gage changes, especially at night. We are back to the old ways of sea faring and are glad the hydrovane keeps on track.
We must have a good current with us as our speed over the ground (SOG) is 8 to 9 knots and we covered 173 nm in the first 24 hours.
