We left the dock at Marin, 1015 and went and filled up boat tank and 1 jerry can. I thought we needed 40 litres in main tank ti fill her up, only took 20 litres. Suspect my error for hours engine on that we had a lot of idling time in Sint Maarten waiting for bridge to open both ways and then waiting to get a berth in Marin the same.

We motored for the 1st hour dead downwind right on the coast and between a little outcrop. You can get right upto both as the depth is not a concern 40metres when just 10 meters from rock face, Once in open water main has gone up with the wind 150TWA. We went west about 10 miles before gybing north to reduce the windshadow effect of the islands we pass. 1 reef in main and we are speeding along 6-7 knots, at this speed we shall arrive at destination middle of the night. We shall take the speed and will slow down as required to arrive in daylight as we are going to have to anchor near Port Zante.

Dinner this evening will be mini ravioli, peas, bread and tinned mandarins in juice, french style.
