Much to our surprise we sighted a sandy reef off our port side mid day, hmmm not on the charts. Bob and Mona, our friends on Continuum had been alerted of the coordinates by our friends Mike and Sue on Lusi. An interesting sight in the deep blue. Many birds were flying, defensively as to protect their territory. Bob caught a hefty Mahi Mahi and motored alongside our port and threw a good sized portion onto the foredeck. Always nice to have fresh fish. Winds subsided into the night and we motor sailed until daybreak. Early morning brought good winds and we are clipping along at 5-6 knots once again. Blue skies, billowy white clouds and perfect temperatures are making a lovely sail this afternoon on a gentle sea. Still no marine life spotted. Bob and Mona now out of radio range, they motored much earlier than we did.
We are 710nm from Opua
All is well, Cheers from Breeze
