Day 106: Friday 18 February 2011. Miramar Hotel,
Limbe, Cameroon. N04 00.712 E009 12.001 Distance driven 36

After a relaxed morning of Internet and local shopping
we drove down the mountain to Limbe on the coast and camped at the Miramar Hotel
on the waterfront. There we met up again with the Oasis truck and our many
friends.
The Miramar is in a delightful setting with no beach but
with the sea washing up against the sea wall and a swimming pool in front
of the hotel. Out to sea there are several islands and the whole area is
dense forest vegetation. It is situated adjacent to the Botanical Gardens
and the Wildlife Centre is only 10 minutes walk away.
We heard of a good restaurant at the Wildlife Centre and
found it to be run by a South African, Erika, and her husband, Ryan, a
Cameroonian. We had delicious salads and steaks and an entertaining
evening with Ryan and Erika discussing their life in Cameroon.
