After spending 2 glorious weeks exploring the amazing wildlife of the
Galapagos Islands we are now back on the road so to speak and are currently
almost 3/4 of the way across the big puddle jump to the Marquesas. We have
had perfect trade wind sailing conditions with 15-20 knots from the SE. We
have averaged over 180 nm a day with a record of 206 one day so we are all
happy campers! Kids are busy with schoolwork, reading, listening to music
and generally hanging out! We have enjoyed the company of friends from
Grace, Rhiann Marie and Chappie with twice daily skeds and a kids net at
midday on the SSB radio. It is always nice to have a chat and makes you feel
like you are not the only crazy bastard out in the middle of nowhere!
A bientot - can't wait to see landfall at Fatu Hiva and taste a fresh
baguette!
