Mojo 2

I have been given the task - nay, the honour of Blogwriter of the day. I must admit I hadn't been offered the job, I have pleaded with the captain for the past few days.
My aim in writing was to be intelligent, yet amusing - but what the hell, why break with tradition!
Andrew may yet have to put the finishing touches to this as this is the first time I have been able to look at the screen and type with Mojo pitching back and forth. Hopefully my head and stomach contents will be in agreement and I can finish this.
Some of you may have noticed my subtle contribution to the blog since leaving Panama. The spelling error count has decreased.
Fact: this is an enormous amount of water. Day in and day out the water is still there, only it's mood changes. The only variable seem to be the clouds. Big white fluffy ones, sometimes with dirty ones underneath them. We have even had a few grey ones in the past couple of days. Whatever is producing them needs to update the themes - I seem to be seeing a fair few crocodiles and stingrays up there.
We have covered 148nm in the 24hours of our 13th day. The winds have been blah, blah, blah with a friendly monster swell/wave this morning. Friendly because it was going in roughly the same direction as us. Last night we sailed on just the main which made for a smooth sail on our heading, and for a pretty good night's sleep for Andrew and I. Taking the headsail out of the equation meant we didn't have to worry about it.
We should have the moon for a few hours tonight, albeit a faint crescent shaped light.
Andrew has been very domestic today and cleaned upstairs. It's looking fab!
Time for me to cook dinner, so I will let Andrew carry on with the important stuff!

There seems to be a bit of a takeover plan afoot here, we are in the waters of the "Bounty". Maybe its the Polynesian air. I will have to enforce my authority on this vessel and make an example of a wayward crew member.
Solid 23 knots from the east last night. We were having trouble getting the headsail some clean air as it was hiding behind the mainsail so we just pulled it down and still made 6 knots boat speed overnight. Big, big swell this morning but it was behind us and had eased by the afternoon.
We are now having a beautiful sail in about 8-9 knots and it has turned more to the south which is helping us. No records tomorrow me thinks.
1444NM to our waypoint. We would have been just going under 1000NM if we had continued on to the Marquesas.
We have just had a ship come up on our AIS system and it is only 12NM away and on a course so we will see it. There is life out here after all!!
