958.4 nm gone...

Am I closer to the Azores ?  Technically  -- yes.  But with the current weather -- the course is unknown,  and the distance too...
At some point,  I will reach something, for sure. ;-)

It has been a tough day --  desperate searching for the wind,  and to keep the boat moving. I've been changing the sails all day,  in attempt to find the optimum configuration...  No, I did not find one... And  again, we  are rushing more North then East -- since the windless zone is in  front of us -- that is a forecast -- and we have to move North  ( 35N  more specific ) as soon as possible...  But the present wind is very light, and from the wrong direction  ( for going North.. ) Puzzels,  puzzels and  compromises...

The boat decided to give me full day of training .   A lot has been learned :
--- putting down gennaker, which decided to wrap itself around the forestay... ( Of course, the only  real puff of the wind happened at that particular moment ;
--  the bottom of the gennaker sock -- is a heavy fibreglass ring... When it is flying around by the boat move --  you better keep your head down, or you will be knocked down, as  miinum...  or change the form of your head -- as maximum... ;-)
--  worknig with poll;
--  moving sails is the bags...
And then the night fall down -- and it was a night training -- setting back the gennaker again, because no way to generate the proper speeed...

In short, I'm a bit exausted and tired... ;-)

But besides that -- everything is OK,  the boat is moving... I'm going to watch the stars...

Be back soon,
M.
