Back in Prickly Bay in Grenada. It was a wet ride against wind and current, with big seas. The waves were breaking over the boat at times and we were glad to get back after 40 hours against the 20 hours it had taken to get there.
Maxine and Keith are out here now, have done the island tour again but then John and I have spent time getting the sails repaired (the cruising chute and genoa - yet more bad Maltese work), thew morse shift which has repeatedly jammed and cleaning the membrane on the watermaker. This was all time consuming, but had to be done!
We did manage a meal at the Calabash where there is a Gary Rhodes restaurant - not quite London standards but very good, followed by live music and dancing, led by the maitre'd and one of the waitresses.
Tomorrow, all being well, we're off to Carriacou, an island just north of Grenada, but still Grenada so we don't have to worry about customs etc. Mind you, Grenada is so quick, cheap and simple in contrast to Venezuela!
Hope the watermaker and gearshift keep working, but we'll let you all know.
More from Carriacou, internet allowing.
